A Dream Home in Italy – the vision

I have a dream home lingering in my gentlest thoughts. It’s a place I go to often in my mind, a refuge place…. filled with light, laughter and every little treasure.

As I come across an image that reflects my vision I like to pin it to my Home board over at Pinterest. I see my dream home developing, a place to sit and read, windows that let in streams of light, a secret garden, an artists studio, views that are endless, comfortable…layered with color and texture.

One day I will stop still in a place created by my heart…. one day

Lisa!!! Che meraviglia! I looooove your vision and the way or bringing together the whole in snippets is a wonderful way to go. I love the quote!! The word is that jumps out for me is ‘start’. It’s what I’ve been trying to do these last weeks in Italy… Keep building you castle.

Lisa am with you all the way on this one 🙂 We have images for our trulli in a file and are constantly planning our dream home!
One day our dreams will be reality, until then we can keep the vision alive even if it is on our computers and in our dreams and our hearts!

  Yes Carla I think I’ve had this dream for years even as a teen my brother showed me a book called Woodstock Houses and I fell in love. I was sent this link which I’m sure you’d like regarding your trulli, these are in Matera http://www.sextantio.it/grotte-civita/

I do the same thing, Lisa, except my dream home is a little place in the bush in Irrewillipe!
I have a vision of what it will be like and how happy we will be living free and obliged to no one, making art every day … Tyson making music and me writing (and reading, cooking, gardening and singing, of course).
Until then, we do our best to be living in the moment that is now.

  My dream home has slowly evolved over the years and is never anything extravagant always filled with creative spaces to write, read, paint and dream! For us having renovated so many houses over the years I dream of having a place that is ours…and finally Carina can have that hot pink room with clouds on the ceiling that she always wanted xx

A dream home for me is something that is different – its a home where I can travel to whenever I want. Lately its a dream about travelling to Thailand – where I live a life with experiences, instead of with stuff that doesnt matter.
